Since 2007: Employed part-time as a Clinical Psychologist in the NHS (Reading, Berkshire), treating severe and enduring mental health problems (eg: depression, anxiety, psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality difficulties) using CBT, CAT, Schema Therapy and EMDR psychological therapies.
Previously she was a self-employed private Clinical Psychologist, assessing & treating a wide variety of emotional and mental health problems, including: depression, anxiety, OCD, phobias, relationship problems, etc., using CBT, CAT and EMDR psychological therapies. I run a Weight Management group programme for individuals within the community with a BMI of 30+ using CBT techniques.
She also previously worked as a Clinical Psychologist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) services and in an Adolescent Inpatient Unit, as a Clinical Psychologist at the NHS Eating Disorders service in Oxford, specialising in assessing and treating anorexia, bulimia and binge-eating disorder (individual and group treatments), using predominantly CBT/eclectic therapies, as a Clinical Psychologist specializing in assessing & treating children with learning difficulties, using predominantly CBT therapy. She was also employed by South Warwickshire NHS Trust, training in adult mental health, child and adolescent mental health, older persons psychology, learning disabilities, eating disorders and family therapy. Susan also had various temporary employment engagements including: Cognitive Therapist with the Priory Hospital group, Assistant Psychologist specialising in assessing and treating traumatic brain injury and Assistant Psychologist in the Adult Mental Health and Child & Family Consultation Services.
Susan is a Registered / Accredited with the HCPC & BPS.
